Is it the Remote Imaging Protocol like what we have in normal BBS? I'm trying to set the system up here in Bangkok, but still have no informations on setting those stuffs up. Since I'm rarely new to Internet and other amateur radio packet -- actually, the packet is not yet allowed in Thailand ;(. I can telnet to my Linux box, but once I'm there the TERM type is 'network' and you can't do much with that. I'd like to be able to run full screen programs ( elm, joe, etc ) but can't because there are no termcap defs for network. I'm using the following termcap with good success: It's the VT100 termcap with sf= and sr= removed (scroll forward and scroll reverse). ka|ka9q:\ :do=^J:co#80:li#24:cl=\E[;H\E[2J:\ :le=^H:bs:am:cm=\E[%i%d;%dH:nd=\E[C:up=\E[A:\ :ce=\E[K:cd=\E[J:so=\E[7m:se=\E[m:us=\E[4m:ue=\E[m:\ :md=\E[1m:mr=\E[7m:mb=\E[5m:me=\E[m:is=\E[1;24r\E[24;1H:\ :rf=/usr/share/lib/tabset/vt100:\ :rs=\E>\E[?3l\E[?4l\E[?5l\E[?7h\E[?8h:ks=\E[?1h\E=:ke=\E[?1l\E>:\ :ku=\EOA:kd=\EOB:kr=\EOC:kl=\EOD:kb=^H:\ :ho=\E[H:k1=\EOP:k2=\EOQ:k3=\EOR:k4=\EOS:pt:vt#3:xn:\ :sc=\E7:rc=\E8:cs=\E[%i%d;%dr: ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Mar 1994 08:30:17 EET-2EEST From: "Markus Lamminmaki OH6LSA" Subject: NOS ( jnos ) to Linux To: Jack Snodgrass > Does anyone have a FAQ for using Linux from NOS? Anyway, try this when you have logged in to Linux: unsetenv TERMCAP setenv TERM vt100 set term=vt100 and off you go. >Linux/unix is really new to me so if this is a basic question, please be >kind.
